Tchankat Whisky: three expressions of Gascon expertise
Discover Tchankat, a French whisky crafted in the heart of the Gers region by Maison Samalens. Its blend of local grains, consisting of 80% corn, 10% barley, and 10% rye, gives it a round and generous profile reminiscent of bourbon.
After double distillation in Charentais stills, the whiskies are refined in ex-Bordeaux grand cru casks that have been flame-charred. Three expressions allow you to discover the different facets of Tchankat.
Tchankat Classique entices with its freshness and indulgence. Its nose reveals peach and pear, while the palate combines fresh walnuts, cereals, and a lightly toasted finish. It pairs perfectly with an espresso or dark chocolate.
More intense, Tchankat Brut reveals notes of vanilla, dried fruits, and wood. Its full, round palate extends into a long finish marked by pistachio. Its powerful character will pair particularly well with spiced or peppered meats.
Tchankat Fumé offers a fruity and delicately smoky expression, accompanied by nuances of eucalyptus. Its round and silky texture precedes a long, toasted finish. A particularly interesting vintage with fish, seafood, or shellfish.
