Christophe Pichon Tess

The "Tess" vintage from Domaine Christophe Pichon is a 100% Syrah Côte-Rôtie, from a plot located in the commune of Tupin-et-Semons, hence its name. The vines, aged on average 55 years, are planted on leucogneiss soils on south-facing hillsides, offering a cirque configuration. Yields are naturally limited to 35 hectoliters per hectare. The grapes are harvested manually and vinified in whole bunches. This wine has aromas of ripe black fruits, violet and spicy notes. On the palate, it offers a beautiful aromatic concentration, combining power and finesse, with lively and present tannins. It is ideal for accompanying grilled red meats, game or dishes in sauce. This wine has a aging potential of at least fifteen years.
