Dingle Single Malt is an Irish whiskey produced by the Dingle Distillery, located in County Kerry. Founded in 2012, this craft distillery is known for its commitment to traditional production methods and the use of local ingredients.
This single malt is primarily composed of spirits aged six to seven years, matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry (61%) and Bourbon (39%) casks, giving it a notable aromatic complexity.
On tasting, Dingle Single Malt offers aromas of honey on toast, brown sugar, orange, lime, malt, dried fruit, and spicy oak. On the palate, flavors of cinnamon cereal, golden syrup, toast, vanilla, and pepper emerge, evolving into notes of creamy malt, hazelnut, caramel, and dried fruit. The finish is smooth, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and a touch of espresso.
Bottled at 46.3% without chill filtration or added colour, this whisky can be enjoyed neat to fully appreciate its aromatic richness, or with a slight addition of water to reveal all its subtleties.
