Les Riaux 2023 from Domaine Derain is a red Burgundy made from Pinot Noir. The cuvée comes from a small plot with iron-rich clay soils, cultivated using an organic and biodynamic approach.
The fermentation uses indigenous yeasts. Aging in old barrels accompanies the wine without seeking a dominant oak character, to preserve a precise expression of the grape variety. Sources differ on the exact duration of the maceration and aging of the vintage.Les Riaux stands out for its finesse and silky texture. Its fruity character, freshness, and light structure make it a pleasant red wine at the table, especially with poultry and white meats. A Pinot Noir Burgundy that favors delicacy and fluidity.
