Filey Bay

Filey Bay is an English single malt whisky produced by the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery, located in Hunmanby, Yorkshire. Made from locally grown barley, this whisky is double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged primarily in first-fill bourbon casks. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or added coloring, it has a light golden hue.

On the nose, Filey Bay offers fresh and fruity aromas, with notes of tropical fruits such as pineapple, melon, and guava, accompanied by hints of biscuit, vanilla, and cinnamon. On the palate, the attack is smooth and silky, revealing flavors of ripe peach, honey, burnt sugar, and sweet spices. The finish is medium-bodied, marked by notes of orchard fruits, vanilla, and a slight saline touch, reflecting the distillery's coastal location.

This versatile whisky can be enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to fully appreciate its aromas. It showcases English whisky-making expertise, offering an interesting alternative to traditional Scotch single malts.
