The Justices 2023

Les Justices 2023 is an organic Chinon from a historic Cabernet Franc plot located in the "Les Justices" vineyard site in the commune of Ligré. Planted in 1947 using massal selection, these old vines grow on clay soils covering a base of flint and quartz conglomerate.

The grapes are hand-harvested in small crates and then completely destemmed. Vinification involves a long 40-day infusion, followed by nine months of aging divided between 500-liter demi-muids and tanks. This low-intervention approach helps preserve the identity of the plot and the depth of the Cabernet Franc.

The nose reveals blackcurrant, black cherry, violet, and spices, with nuances of graphite and undergrowth. The palate is deep and structured, carried by fine tannins and a freshness characteristic of great Chinon Cabernet Francs.
