Gladstone Axe The Black Axe is a blended malt Scotch whisky made from 100% malted barley sourced from a selection of 14 distilleries in the Highlands and Islay. This expression is distinguished by a higher proportion of Islay whiskies, which impart characteristic smoky and spicy notes.

Tasting profile:

• Nose: Aromas of dried fruit, chocolate, caramel, honey, with a hint of wood smoke.

• Nose: Flavors of caramel, honey, red apples, citrus, sultanas and streams, with a light peaty smoke on the finish.

• Final note: Light, lingering peat smoke.

Bottled at 43% ABV, The Black Axe offers an approachable taste experience, with a subtle, non-overpowering peat presence. It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or used as a base for classic cocktails.
