Le single malt produit par Miltonduff est connu pour ses propriétés fortes et grasses et est principalement utilisé comme ingrédient dans le célèbre whisky écossais Ballantine blended. De 1964 à 1981, la distillerie s'est équipée de deux alambics Lomond pour produire le deuxième whisky single malt, un produit vraiment rare : Mosttowie. Particulièrement complexe et riche, note après note, cette version interprète avec enthousiasme une partition aromatique et savoureuse, restituant à merveille la douceur maltée et fruitée du Miltonduff. Doux, le premier nez est vanillé et fruité (poire). Après aération, il devient exotique (banane, fruit de la passion), médicinal et épicé (poivre noir). L'attaque en bouche puissante est encore médicinale (pommade), miellée et fruitée. Le goût moyen est le chocolat et le malt. Équilibrée et gourmande, la touche finale rappelle une délicate tarte aux poires. L'arrière-goût est marqué par le goût du tabac et des épices (muscade).
Description
The single malt produced by Miltonduff is known for its strong and fatty properties and is mainly used as an ingredient in the famous Ballantine blended Scotch whisky. From 1964 to 1981, the distillery equipped itself with two Lomond stills to produce the second single malt whisky, a truly rare product: Mosttowie. Particularly complex and rich, note after note, this version plays with enthusiasm an aromatic and tasty score, reproducing wonderfully the malty and fruity sweetness of Miltonduff. The first nose is sweet, vanilla and fruity (pear). After aeration, it becomes exotic (banana, passion fruit), medicinal and spicy (black pepper). The powerful attack in the mouth is still medicinal (ointment), honeyed and fruity. The middle taste is chocolate and malt. Balanced and greedy, the final touch is reminiscent of a delicate pear tart. The aftertaste is marked by the taste of tobacco and spices (nutmeg)
